Your Judgment Judges You

judge not lest ye be judged, Judge not lest you be judged, Judge not, judge not

by Bill Krause

One of the great truths that I learned in church many years ago is found in Romans 2:1.  This scripture from the Bible tells us that what we judge another for we are guilty of that sin ourselves.  This is a very powerful truth that will bring us into great victory when we live by it.

This single truth by itself can bring you an abundance of hope and revelation.  The understanding of this simple verse will enlighten you to exactly what you need to work on in your life.

If you find yourself judging others for being lazy, the things you will hear coming out of your mouth are that you see others taking lazy actions.  You will find yourself talking to others about people you know are being lazy.  This is a clear indication that you are judging others in this very area.

Once you have identified the area you need to work on, you can begin fixing that area of your life.  The person you have been judging may or may not have the problem, but now you know that you have the problem for sure.

When you begin to work on your laziness, you will find yourself getting set free of judging others for it.  You will know you are set free when you find that you are not judging others in this area any more.  You will find yourself having compassion for people with the problem instead of inspecting their faults.  Now that you have dealt with your own problem, you can help others come to wholeness with love and grace.  Praying for them will be your plan; helping them get set free of their misgiving will be your purpose.  When you begin to use this Bible process in your everyday life your personal growth will cause you to accelerate forward.

You will not need to gossip about people or belittle them for their problems, real or imagined.  You will be moved with compassion helping yourself and others to be all they can be.  The best part of the verse is that every time you find yourself judging others, you know what you are guilty of yourself; setting yourself up for a new level of growth, maturity and a better way of life.

This is a biblical principle that works every time.  This is given to us by God for our benefit, to root out our shortcomings and make us more like Him.  Any time you want to grow more all you have to do is look at the area in which you are judging others and take another leap forward.

Judge not lest you be judged.
Mathew 7:1
