Susan Bless
Omaha, NE
I heard about the Financial Freedom Seminar last September when Pastor Krause came to Omaha and spoke at Liberty Christian Center. My spirit was exploding with fireworks after hearing him and I knew that I had to go to the seminar in February. My anticipation on attending the seminar had been building for over four months, and by the end of my stay in California, I was truly blown away!
Financially speaking, I now have a budget on paper that I am following, I have money available in my Storehouse Account, and I am applying the six-month rule to my wage increase that began on April 1st. I was able to set up an automatic transfer from my checking account to my Storehouse Account and to my Savings Account that coincides with my paycheck. I had a bad habit that had to be dealt with recently. When I dont have a list of things that I need to buy, I will purchase more than I need. I had one of my shopping sprees in March. Because of the seminar, I am also listening to God more on a daily basis and He told me I needed to return those unneeded items to a tune of $193.85! So now, I make a list and I am getting better at sticking to the list.
Since November of 2005, I have honored my man of God, either with cash or a personal check on a monthly basis. I get warm fuzzies every time I am able to bless him. I was so blessed to be able to honor him with my first Storehouse Account check. Also, I agreed with the Lord on how much I will give in the offering to a guest speaker, and every time there has been a guest speaker at my church, I have the money available to give. And, by the way -- I am now debt free!! My house and the car I drive are paid for and I paid off my last loan on March 14th! And speaking of freethe second word in the seminar title is Freedom! I have experienced so much freedom since the seminar it has been overwhelming!
The greatest freedom has come in the area of food intake, which is really the lack of unhealthy food intake. Almost daily, I would spend money at the office snack box which does not offer anything nutritional. I would say there wasnt a day that went by that I didnt have some form of chocolate and/or gooey pastry and, of course, coffee with flavored cream is the beverage of choice when consuming gooey pastries or chocolate. Now with overwhelming joy I can say that I have had one cup of coffee, no gooey pastries, and two and a half candy bars (the other half of the 3 Musketeers bar is in the freezer) since the February 06 conference. My fast food intake, which used to be a part of my daily routine, is now down to about two times a month. And those times only happened because I didnt prepare a meal ahead of time. Every day is an adventure and every day is a challenge. I know that when I spend time in the Word it has a direct impact on my making wise food choices. At my church we have a saying, More Word, more life and I believe that means more life in Him and more life in the natural. The revelation that became my miracle was Pastor Krause saying, I love Jesus more than ice cream and the Lord saying to me, Susan, just fill in the blank.
