Grow Not Weary
by Bill Krause

When we are in the thick of the battle it is extremely important that we do not grow weary.   We need to stay focused on the prize, the harvest, the desired outcome.

If we do not grow weary or lose heart,  we are guaranteed to succeed, and we can be assured that we will fulfill that thing for which we have been called.

Anytime we desire to go to a new level we are going to experience turbulence.  When an airplane is taking off, heading for the heights, it frequently passes through choppy air.  If you are not an experienced flyer, this could unnerve you quite a bit. Those of us that fly over 100,000 miles a year know that it is necessary to go through the choppy air to get up to the place where there is less traffic, smoother sailing, and faster travel. The turbulence is only temporary.

During any level of flight there can be times of great disruption, and even an experienced traveler can be shaken if the turbulence is bad enough and lasts longer than expected.  The important thing to remember is that, this too shall pass, and very rarely does this cause serious problems. The storm is on the outside and we are safe on the inside. Grow not weary, just keep flying and hold steady to what God has called you to do.

You and I are called to sow and keep on sowing. We are not to be swayed by the wind and the clouds.

Ecclesiastes 11:4
He who observes the wind will not sow, and he who regards the clouds will not reap.

Often times, when we are going to a new level, we run into wind and clouds, or circumstances. Those that are sons of God -- that’s you and I -- are led by the Spirit of God and not circumstances. It is very important that we do not grow weary, and that we are not moved by what is happening around us.

When you find yourself short in resources, be sure to keep sowing -- do not hold back. You may not have the ability to give like you want to, or are used to giving, but do not let pride get in the way of you working God’s system.  Do not hold back.  Give something.  Giving twenty dollars when you usually give two hundred dollars makes a statement to God, yourself, and the devil, “I may not be where I want to be but I will never stop giving.”

Too often, if people cannot give the bigger amount, they think they should not give at all. If giving is in your heart -- and it is -- do not stop the flow, keep giving.  If your cash is gone, find creative ways to give.  Remember what the prophet said to the widow woman, “What do you have?”

She had a bottle of oil and out of it came all of her needs being met. Do not stop giving; do not stop sowing.  Find a way to get your seed in the ground. God knows the harvest that you need. He has prepared the ground for you to sow into that will bring forth the abundant harvest that you need at the very time and way that you need it.

GROW NOT WEARY.  God created His system of reaping and sowing to ensure that our needs would be met.  Realize that God is placing opportunities to sow before you and me to enable us to fulfill His plan and receive our desires. God never has us sow into anything but good ground, and the harvest is guaranteed.

Be at peace, keep sowing, do not grow weary, and be assured that your harvest is in the fields.
